The Friends of the Baxter Depot’s annual Trunk or Treat event will take place on the last Saturday in October (October 26th) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Baxter Depot in Downtown Baxter. This event provides a safe and fun environment for children to trick-or-treat, with a traffic-free zone on Broad Street. They invite schools, daycares, businesses, and other groups to set up themed, family-friendly booths with treats such as candy, small toys, stickers, or temporary tattoos. This is the 5th year of the event, and the 3rd year of significant growth, with an expected attendance of 1,500-2,500 children based on last year’s turnout. Admission is free, and they will inform vendors in case of inclement weather. Please note that once the event begins, no cars will be allowed in or out of the designated area.
