Ribbon Cutting: Historic Cream City Sign

We’re excited to celebrate the 75-year anniversary of the iconic Cream City Sign! This historic Cookeville landmark has been lighting up the community since 1950, turning Cream City into a must-stop destination between Nashville and Knoxville. To help preserve the sign for another 75 years, CityScape has been awarded a Downtown Improvement Grant to rewire the original neon. The project will cost around $100,000, with CityScape responsible for providing a 25 percent match. As part of the effort, CityScape will host its second annual Scoop for the Sign Day on July 26 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with all proceeds supporting the project.
