Position Title: Ice Cream and Coffee Shop Assistant Manager
Location: Monterey, Tennessee

Our goal is to become a beloved local spot where our community can gather to enjoy delicious, handcrafted ice cream and perfectly brewed coffee. Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Assistant Manager to join our founding team. This individual will embody our company values, leading by example to create an environment where open dialogue thrives and honesty is paramount. If you have a passion for excellent customer service, a knack for leading a team, and experience in the foodservice industry (such as a team leader, shift supervisor, management, or similar role), we’d love to hear from you! This individual will work closely alongside the owners in all aspects of launching and running our shop, always remembering that we are constantly learning and growing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with the owners in all day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, interviewing and hiring, staff scheduling, and inventory management, always striving to stand by our commitments to excellence.
· Lead, train, and motivate our team, fostering an environment of open, respectful, communication where feedback is welcomed and mistakes are owned and learned from.
· Ensure all products (ice cream, coffee, other menu items) are prepared and served to perfection, upholding our high standards for quality and presentation with integrity.
· Address customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to grow the business and enhance the customer experience, seeing every interaction as a chance to improve.
· Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting environment for both customers and team members, reflecting our commitment to genuine acts of service.
· Manage the ordering, receiving, and proper stocking of all supplies, ingredients, and retail items with diligence and attention to detail.
· Uphold all food safety and health regulations, understanding that this is part of our commitment to our guests and team.
· Champion a culture where every shift is a chance to grow, supporting the team's learning in the business and as individuals.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in a foodservice or hospitality role, with demonstrated experience at a supervisory level (e.g., Team Lead, Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager).
· Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills, and a natural ability to foster open dialogue.
· A genuine passion for coffee, ice cream, and creating a positive customer experience, driven by a desire to provide genuine acts of service.
· A commitment to acting with honesty and integrity in all situations.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Proactive, reliable, and committed to doing your best every time.
· Familiarity with basic POS systems and inventory management is a plus.
· A desire to help make positive changes in our community through your work.

Compensation: $15 to $17 range + tips; provisional for 120 days. Opportunity for advancement.
